When it comes to business, I believe in the power of processes. I help businesses manage their insurance and benefits by implementing systems and processes that are designed to make their lives easier. I specialize in both Employee Benefits and Property/Casualty insurance for mid-market businesses. The companies I help are primarily focused in the food manufacturing and distributions sectors, having spent the majority of my career before Trustpoint in the food manufacturing industry. l am also focused on helping construction and architecture/engineering firms and have a CBIA designation.
I grew up in Richlands, Virginia, after which I attended Virginia Tech and pursued a history major/business minor while playing all 4 years on the football team as a tight end. After that, I stayed in Blacksburg to attain my Masters of Business Administration. My career started with Smithfield Foods and I spent 7 years living in Norfolk, with roles in supply chain, business management, and some sales functions. I had the opportunity to move back closer to home by accepting a job from Trustpoint in 2020 and am excited to be back in the mountains. When I am not looking for problems to solve, you can likely find me on the golf course or fly fishing in a local river in my spare time. I am also passionate about food and cooking, and am frequently traveling to explore new restaurants or am home trying a new recipe.
